Privacy Policy

Introduction

We respect your privacy. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over your information.

Data We Collect

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to see how people use the site: which pages they visit, how long they stay, device type, and rough location. This data is anonymized: GA4 does not collect your name, email, or other personally identifiable information.

We only load GA4 after you accept cookies in our cookie banner. If you decline, we don't run analytics on your visit.

Email (Resend)

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address via Resend. We use double opt-in (you confirm by clicking a link in an email) so we know you really want to subscribe. We use your email only to send the newsletter and related content. We don't sell or share it with third parties for marketing.

Review Team Privacy

To protect personal privacy and safety, we may limit or anonymize identifying details of individual review team members (for example full legal identity, personal contact details, or private profile data). This does not change our editorial process or the way we test platforms.

Cookies

Here’s what we use:

  • Cookie consent: Saves your choice (accept/decline) in your browser (we use localStorage for this).
  • Google Analytics: GA4 cookies to measure traffic, only if you’ve accepted cookies.
  • Affiliate cookies: When you click a link to a platform we recommend (e.g. Thinkific, Teachable), that platform may set its own cookie to track that you came from us. We don’t control those; they’re governed by each platform’s privacy policy.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you’re in the European Economic Area, you can:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Object to how we process your data
  • Request your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe from the newsletter)

Data Retention

GA4 keeps analytics data for 14 months, then it’s automatically deleted. We keep your email and subscription details in our newsletter audience until you unsubscribe; after that we remove you from the list.

Third-Party Services

We rely on these services; each has its own privacy policy:
